What is PodCamp Europe? It's an UnConference of podcasters, seo packages, bloggers, and new media professionals & amateurs for two days to share, explore, challenge, and grow our abilities in new media. Learn about audio and video podcasting, blogging, photography, Second Life, Twitter, and all kinds of other new and social media tools. Whether you're a veteran or interested in getting started, PodCamp is for YOU.
Why's it called PodCamp Europe instead of PodCamp Stockholm? Our venue sponsor, VON, is giving us a gigantic huge room to do with as we please. We figure it's big enough to allow anyone who wants to attend to be there, so no matter where you are in Europe or beyond, come on by!

So, Von sponsors the "Venue", but I cannot actually find any information on where the Podcamp will take place.

Just a quick question (suppose we need to ask the locality) I'm flying from BHX (birmingham uk) to which is best? - Bromma, Stockholm or Arlanda, Stockholm - which is nearest to the place we are staying at. Plus, i was hoping to fly in the night before. Anybody know where they are staying at etc yet. (philcampbell - me@me.dm)

Stockholm fair website: http://www.stockholmsmassan.se/stockholmsmassan_eng It's right next to commuter train station "Älvsjö", 7 minutes ride to the south from "Stockholm c". You may find a route planner at http://www.sl.se/Templates/SubStart.aspx?id=1906 Closest hotel is Talk hotel on the same site: http://www.talkstockholm.se/eng/ But connections from downtown are really good. Both Stockholm airports are good. ARN is further away, but has excellent connections.

Sounds good. Can you maybe put some kind of guide together or help me make one? - i'll be flying into either of the airports as most others will so need a way to get to the hotel and venue. (phil, me@me.dm - http://twitter.com/philcampbell)

Checked out talk hotel. I'm not prepared to pay that much. Any other suggestions to hotels near by? - the whole attraction to podcamp for me is the fact that the event is free so i want to get their and get in a hotel as cheaply as possible. Any ideas? (phil, me@me.dm)

Hey gang, I just put up two more pages on the wiki, lodging and dining. Would LOVE the help of Stockholm residents and frequent travelers to provide more info!

You could always stay at Formule F1 Hotel - really cheap. No web booking - but phone nrs on the web page: http://www.hotelformule1.com/formule1/fichehotel/gb/for/3065/fiche_hotel.shtml
There are buses from there to stockholms massan. Takes no more than 10 minutes.

I'm looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay. Does anyone know anything about hostels nearby? Otherwise, I may be in need of a roommate. You can contact me at allie.osmar AT gmail DOT com

Will there be a facebook event for this podcamp? Useful for hooking up with people attending the conference.
